Choose what workers see about a job
Decide which job details, such as the order description, who to call on site, the documents or your own order fields, workers can open from their shifts in My Shifts, and who sees each one.
A shift in My Shifts shows the order, client, site and role. When your workers need more to do the job, such as the order's description, who to call on site or the documents, you choose what they can open under Job details on the shift, and who sees each detail. Nothing extra shows until you choose it.
Your organization may use other words for orders, jobs, projects, clients and supervisors. The screens use the names set under Terminology in Settings; this page uses the defaults.
Choose who sees each detail
Owners and Admins can do this. The section is on your settings page only if you can manage settings.
- In the sidebar, select Settings, then General.
- Under Operations, select Worker job details.
- Under Choose what workers see, open the list beside a detail and pick who sees it. You can pick more than one.
- Select Save. You see "Worker job details saved."
| Pick | Who sees the detail |
|---|---|
| Everyone on the shift | Every worker on the shift. It includes all the other choices, so they can't be picked alongside it |
| Supervisors | Workers on the shift in a supervisor role |
| Role: and a role's name | Workers on the shift in that role |
| Tag: and a tag's name | Workers who have that tag |
A detail with nothing picked shows Hidden, and every detail starts hidden. A detail with no value on a job never shows, whatever you pick. Always shown, at the top of the section, lists the details you can't hide.

Each of your order custom fields is listed after these, marked (custom field). An archived field leaves the list and comes back with the same choice when you unarchive it.
