Competencies

Track your workers' tickets, licences and inductions, say which ones each role needs, and see who is ready for site.

Competencies are the tickets, licences, inductions and certificates your workers need on site: a White Card, a dogging licence, First Aid. You list them once, say which ones each worker role needs, and record what each worker holds. Assignar Pay then shows, for every worker, which of their roles they are fully ticketed for and what is missing or expiring.

Set it up in this order

  1. Set up your catalog: add each competency and choose whether it needs an expiry date, a certificate or a check before it counts.
  2. Link related tickets: say that a higher licence covers a lower one, or that two tickets are interchangeable.
  3. Set role requirements: choose the competencies each role needs.
  4. Record worker credentials: enter each worker's tickets with their certificates. To enter the same ticket for a group, record it for a whole crew.
  5. Read the compliance matrix to see who is ready for site and who is missing a ticket or about to lose one.
  6. When a client or head contractor asks for proof, export an evidence pack.

Workers can also submit and renew their own tickets from My Competencies, for you to approve. See Let workers submit tickets.

If your workers' tickets are already in Assignar Operations, a developer can bring them across with the API. See Import competencies from Assignar Ops.

The last row needs the See sensitive worker data permission; see Keep medicals and other documents private.

Field, Visitor, Customer and Supplier members cannot open Competencies. Workers see only their own credentials, in My Competencies. A Manager who opens the Matrix tab sees Payroll Permission Required, because worker credentials are payroll records. Managers also see Pending Verifications in the sidebar, but the page tells them they do not have permission.
