Custom Reports

Build interactive spreadsheet reports that pull live data from your account, support Excel formulas, and refresh on demand. Learn how to:

• Create a new report and load data from any of the available data sources
• Work with multiple sheets and write cross-sheet formulas
• Save reports to the cloud, refresh connected data, and export to Excel or CSV
• Set a refresh schedule (hourly at most) so a report's data stays current without anyone opening it
• Share reports with your team or keep them private

Assignar Operations Data

Accounts with a connected Assignar integration get an Assignar Operations category in the data source panel: Ops Timesheets, Ops Allocations / Shifts, Ops Workers, and Ops Projects & Orders — live operational data in the same spreadsheet reports as your Pay data.

This replaces the need for the Insights module inside Assignar Operations. Assignar Pay is the future of Assignar's reporting platform, and we encourage all customers to build their operational reporting here instead of Insights. Reach out to your account manager to learn more.

Charts and Pivot Tables

Visualise sheet data inside the template editor. Learn how to:

• Create, edit, and remove live charts (including Stat and the other standalone types) from a sheet or range
• Open the resizable Charts pane that updates as you edit the spreadsheet
• Build formula-linked pivot tables that recalculate when source data changes

Chart Library and Builder

Create and manage reusable charts from Pay data, Assignar Operations, or saved Custom Report sheets. Learn how to:

• Build a chart directly from a Pay dataset (no report template required), or from a report sheet and optional A1 range
• Apply a date range when the source supports it, and refresh Operations snapshots when you need the latest data
• Review a live preview before saving any of the standalone chart types (see Chart Library for the full list, including Stat)
• Edit, duplicate, delete, or return to the source report for an existing chart

New to reporting? Start with Custom Reports to build your first spreadsheet report, then use the Report Data Sources reference when you need to look up which filters a specific data source supports. Add Charts and Pivot Tables while editing a workbook, or use the Chart Library and Builder to create charts from Pay data or saved reports across your account.

• Build reusable templates for your monthly financial pack and refresh them each period rather than starting from scratch
• Keep raw data and summary calculations on separate sheets so refreshes do not overwrite your formulas
• Use date-range presets (This Month, This Quarter, Year to Date) so a single template stays current over time
• Compare actual vs. budgeted performance consistently by pairing transactional data with uploaded budget files
• Share team reports with the right stakeholders and keep personal drafts private
• Export to Excel when you need to send a snapshot outside Assignar Pay
