Set up inspection types and groups

Map each Field form to an inspection type, group forms such as QA and Safety, and save the completed-inspections list you want.

Assignar turns HSEQ on for your organisation. You need Configure HSEQ to add inspection types. You need View HSEQ issues to open the completed list.

In HSEQ, select Inspections & Punchlist walks, then Inspections.

Add an inspection type

A form's responses appear in Completed inspections only after the form has an inspection type.

  1. Select Inspection types, then Add inspection type.
  2. Enter the Inspection type, or pick one under Start from a template. A template fills the name. You can rename it, then choose which of your forms it classifies.
  3. Enter a Group, such as QA or Safety. The box suggests groups you already use. Pick one of those so the forms land in the same group.
  4. Choose the Field form. The empty choice reads Choose a published form.
  5. Leave Active on, then select Save.

You see Inspection settings saved. The type appears on Inspection types.

An inspection type keeps its form. Editing it shows The linked form is fixed. Create another inspection type to use a different form. Add another type when the same form needs a second group, or when you want a different form.

If save fails you see Could not save inspection settings. Check the form and responsible party, then try again. Choose a published form and save again. Without Configure HSEQ the Inspection types tab is not there.

Turn Active off to stop new responses joining that type. Responses already filed stay on Completed inspections.

Filter completed inspections

Open Completed inspections. Filter by project, inspection type, group, asset, contractor, location and date, then select Apply filters. Reset filters clears them.

Filter by Group to see every form in that group in one list, for example all your QA inspections. The list says how many completed inspections match. When none do, it reads No completed inspections match these filters. Map a Field form to an inspection type to include its submissions.

Choose columns

Select Columns. Turn on the question you want as a column.

The list offers questions that two or more of the forms in the current list share. Questions match by their label, ignoring capitals and extra spaces. When the list holds one form, all of its questions are offered. File uploads, photos, signatures, passwords and tables are not offered.

Each row shows that response's current answer. The cell is blank when the response's form does not have the question, or when you are not allowed to view that form's responses.

Save a view

Select Saved views. Save the filters and columns you are using, including question columns, and switch between the views you have saved.

To open one response, or to export the list, see Review and export completed inspections.
