Issue a permit

Assignar turns HSEQ on for your organisation. You need View HSEQ issues to open Permits. New permit needs Raise HSEQ issues. The permit types come from Set up HSEQ.

Request or issue one

On Permits, select New permit.

1. Choose the Project, Permit type, Location and Receiver. The receiver is Own workers or Contractors.
2. Set Valid from and Valid to. Choose a SWMS, or leave No SWMS.
3. Select Request to leave it as Requested, or Issue now to issue it.

You see Permit requested or Permit issued. The permit gets a number when it is issued. Before that, the number reads Not issued yet.

If a field is missing you see Choose a project, permit type, location, and receiver. A permit that ends before it starts shows The permit must end after it starts. Issue now for a permit that has already ended shows An issued permit must end in the future. When no permit type is active, the form reads There are no active permit types. An administrator can turn them on in HSEQ settings.

The receiver's organisation can view the permit. The page tells them Your organization is the receiver. You can view this permit. The issuing account makes any changes.

Move it on

Open the permit. The actions are Issue, Activate, Suspend, Resume, Close and Cancel. Each one asks for a Note. Select Confirm. You see Permit updated. Back leaves it unchanged.

The status is one of Requested, Issued, Active, Suspended, Closed, Expired or Cancelled.

Activate before the permit is valid reads This permit cannot be activated before it becomes valid. Close before the close-out form is filled reads Fill in the close-out form before closing this permit.

Filter the register by Permit type, Contractor and Validity. Search by the permit number.

Raise a breach

On a permit your organisation issued, Raise breach needs Raise HSEQ issues. The form reads A permit breach is recorded as one of these types: incident or observation. and This is a breach of permit with the permit number. Open the permit again from Open permit on that issue.
