Language & Region
Assignar Pay is displayed in US English by default. It can also be shown in other languages — for now, you switch by adding a short language code to the start of the web address (URL), as there is no in-app language picker yet.
Your language choice applies only to the address you're viewing; it does not change the language for anyone else on your team.
Available languages

Switching language via the URL
Add the language code as the first part of the path, right after the site address. The default US English has no code, so existing links keep working unchanged.

To try it: take the page you're on and insert /en-AU (or /es) immediately before /home in the address bar, then press Enter.
Language selection is URL-based for now — there is no Language setting in the app yet. An in-app language picker may be added later; until then, the address bar is the way to switch.
A few things to know:
- Everything after the code (your team, the page you're on, and any filters) stays the same, so switching language keeps you on the same page.
- As you move around the app, in-app links keep the language code you started with. To go back to the default English, remove the code from the address (or replace it with a different one).
- If you bookmark or share a link that includes a code, it will open in that language. Share a link without a code if you want the recipient to see the default US English.
Changing your language only affects the wording of the interface. It does not change your account's region, which is set separately and controls things like currency and tax formatting.
Units
Your account's region also drives a related setting: Units. This controls how weather and measurement values are displayed across Assignar Pay — the dashboard Site weather widget, the Forms Weather field (on-screen, manual entry, and PDF exports), and purchase order units of measure.
Go to Settings → Units to configure four preferences independently:

Setting each one independently is useful if your region mixes units — for example, the UK typically reports temperature in °C but wind speed in mph.
If you haven't opened the Units tab, your account uses sensible defaults based on your Region setting: US accounts default to Fahrenheit, mph, inches, and Imperial units of measure; every other region defaults to Celsius, km/h, mm, and Metric.
Weather data — recorded readings and form submission snapshots — is always stored in metric, regardless of your Units preference. Changing Temperature, Wind speed, or Precipitation only changes how those values are displayed; it never changes how data is saved, calculated, or exported. When you manually enter a weather reading in your preferred unit, Assignar Pay converts it to metric automatically when you save.
Units of measure works differently: it decides which units appear in the purchase order line item dropdown (metres, square metres and tonnes, or feet, square feet and tons). The unit you pick is saved with the line item, so existing purchase orders keep the unit they were created with even if you change this setting later.
Only users with permission to manage account settings can change the Units preference. Once set, everyone on the team sees the same units when viewing weather and measurement data.
