Get help
When to ask Milo and when to contact Support, where to find each, and what to do if the support chat won't open.
Assignar Pay has two places to get help. Milo answers questions about your own data. Support answers questions about how to use Assignar Pay. Picking the right one gets you a better answer, faster.
Choose Milo or Support
| Ask | For | Examples |
|---|---|---|
| Milo | Questions about your organization's data, importing files, and general construction advice | "What did we spend on labour on the Riverside project last month?", "Who worked overtime this week?", "Import this list of cost codes" |
| Support | How to use Assignar Pay: where a setting is, how a feature works, or something that isn't working | "How do I add a cost code to an existing project?", "Why can't I submit this timesheet?", "How do I invite a supervisor?" |
Support starts with Fin, an assistant that answers from the Assignar help centre. If Fin can't answer, it passes the conversation to the Assignar support team.
Open Milo or Support
- Milo: select Ask Milo. It sits beside Search at the top of the left navigation, or beside the search bar at the top of the page if your navigation runs along the top. On a phone, open the menu first. Milo opens in a panel on the right.
- Support: select your name at the bottom of the left navigation (or your picture at the top right, if your navigation runs along the top) and choose Support.
You can also press ⌘K (Mac) or Ctrl+K (Windows) and type milo, support or feedback.
Milo isn't available to Field, Customer, Supplier or Visitor users. They can still reach Support from the same menu.
Go back to an earlier Milo chat
Milo saves each conversation. Select Chats at the top left of the Milo panel to see them, grouped by Today, Yesterday and earlier, with Search conversations above the list. Select one to reopen it, or select New to start again. Each conversation's menu lets you Edit title or Delete Chat.
Hand a Milo question to Support
If you've asked Milo something that's really a how-to question, you don't need to type it again:
- Select Open Support Chat. It's at the bottom of the Milo panel, beside Product Support Question?. Milo may also offer the button in a reply.
- Milo closes and Support opens. Your question is sent as your first message, rewritten as one clear question.
- Your Milo conversation is saved. Reopen it from Chats at any time.
If you haven't typed anything to Milo yet, Support opens empty and you can ask from scratch.
If the support chat won't open
Some ad blockers, browser privacy settings and company networks block the support chat. When that happens you see "Support chat couldn't be opened", and Milo stays open.
Email support@assignar.com instead and the team will help.
Send feedback or an idea
To suggest an improvement or share feedback, open the same menu and select Feedback / Submit an Idea. It's also in ⌘K / Ctrl+K.
