See an asset's maintenance
Check a machine's status, its open requests and work orders, when it was off, its meter readings and what its maintenance has cost, from the asset's own page.
Before you book a machine or approve another repair on it, look at its history. Open the asset from Resources → Assets and select the Maintenance tab. It takes the place of Service history, and you need View maintenance to see it. Without View maintenance, the asset has neither tab.
What the tab shows
At the top:
- Status: the machine's status now. A Restricted machine shows its restriction under the status. A status set by a work order leads with the work order's title and number, such as Replace burst boom hose — WO-00005, then how many days it has lasted and the request it came from, such as 2 days · from WR-00006. A status set by a request leads with the fault and the request number instead. A status set by hand shows the reason.
- Open requests and Open work orders: how many are not finished.
- Last work order completed: the date, or None yet.
- Maintenance cost to date: all the labor and materials on the machine's work orders.
- Meters: each meter's latest reading.
- Utilization, last 30 days: the share of the machine's available days it was booked, and its in use, not in use and down days. Down days are not counted against utilization. See the fleet opens Utilization.
Below them:
- Open requests and work orders: the work not yet finished on this machine, with its status, priority and the date it was raised. A work order's number opens it. A request's number opens that request in the request queue, and View all requests opens the queue.
- Status timeline: every time the machine was Down, Out of Service or Restricted, newest first, with the reason. A Restricted row shows its restriction. Set by names the request or work order that set it, and opens it, or reads Set by hand for a status that Change status can end. That includes the Restricted status from completing a work order Back as Restricted.
- Work order history: the finished work orders, newest first. Completed is the day the work was done, the same date that Last work order completed shows. A cancelled work order shows —.
- Inspections: the checklists submitted about the machine in the last 12 months, with how many items failed and the requests they raised. See See an asset's inspections.
Maintenance cost to date follows the same access rules as a work order's cost; see See what the work has cost. Someone without See per-worker cost sees it hidden when the total would show what one worker is paid: for example, when one person did all the labor across the machine's work orders.

- Report breakdown, at the top of the asset's page, reports a fault on this machine. See Report a breakdown.
- New work order, on the Maintenance tab, raises a work order for it. See Raise a work order without a request.
An asset can't be deleted while it has an open request or an open work order. Deleting it shows "This asset has open maintenance. Reject its open requests or turn them into work orders, and complete or cancel its open work orders first."
