What's new

⬅️ Soft-delete for timesheets

Mistakes happen on construction sites—now you can undo them. Soft-delete lets you restore accidentally deleted timesheets with full history intact, eliminating the panic of lost data and manual re-entry.

What it does:

  • Allows deletion of timesheets without permanent data loss
  • Preserves complete audit history including who deleted and when
  • Enables quick restoration of deleted timesheets
  • Prevents accidental permanent deletion of critical payroll data
  • Maintains data integrity for compliance and auditing

Where you'll find it: Navigate to Timesheets in the menu. When you delete a timesheet, it's moved to a recoverable state rather than permanently removed. Access deleted timesheets through the filter menu and restore them with one click.

Who benefits: Payroll administrators can recover from accidental deletions without scrambling to rebuild data. Site supervisors who accidentally delete crew timesheets can restore them instantly. Compliance teams maintain complete audit trails even for deleted records. Project managers gain peace of mind knowing timesheet data is never truly lost.

🧠 AI explanations for pay items

No more mysterious pay calculations. See clear, plain-language breakdowns of exactly how each pay item was calculated—right in the Payroll section.

What it does:

  • Generates human-readable explanations of complex pay calculations
  • Shows the logic behind overtime, penalties, allowances, and deductions
  • References relevant EBA clauses and rate rules
  • Reduces payroll disputes by making calculations transparent
  • Helps workers understand their pay breakdown

Where you'll find it: Open any payroll run and view the pay items for a worker. Click the AI explanation icon next to any pay item to see a detailed breakdown in plain language. The explanation includes which rules were applied, how rates were calculated, and why specific amounts were determined.

Who benefits: Payroll administrators spend less time answering "why is my pay this amount?" questions. Workers understand their pay without needing to decipher complex payroll logic. HR teams handle fewer disputes and escalations. Finance managers audit payroll with confidence knowing calculations are transparent and explainable.

  • Supports testing of new rate rules or configurations
  • Reduces processing time for urgent payroll adjustments
  • Maintains full audit trail for individual runs

Who benefits: Payroll administrators fix individual worker issues quickly without re-processing everyone. HR managers handle urgent pay corrections for departing employees. Finance teams test new rate configurations safely on individual workers before rolling out widely.

📅 Same-day timesheet chooser redesign

Faster, clearer selection of same-day timesheet entries reduces errors and speeds up timesheet processing.

What it does:

  • Provides improved interface for selecting same-day timesheet entries
  • Reduces confusion when workers have multiple entries on the same day
  • Displays clear context about each entry (project, hours, activity)

  • Speeds up timesheet review and approval

Where you'll find it: When reviewing timesheets in Payroll or Timesheets, the improved chooser appears automatically when multiple same-day entries exist. Select the correct entry with full context visible.

Who benefits: Payroll administrators process timesheets faster with less confusion. Site supervisors approve timesheets confidently knowing they're selecting the right entries. Workers see clearer timesheet records reducing disputes about hours worked.

💼 Employment type in Weekly View

See each worker's employment type at a glance in the weekly timesheet view for better compliance planning and resource allocation.

What it does:

  • Displays employment type (casual, part-time, full-time, contractor) in weekly view
  • Enables quick identification of worker classifications
  • Supports compliance checks during timesheet review
  • Aids in resource planning and crew composition decisions
  • Reduces errors from misclassifying worker types

Where you'll find it: Open the Weekly View in Timesheets or Payroll. Each worker's employment type now appears clearly in their row, making it easy to see your crew composition at a glance.

Who benefits: Payroll administrators verify correct classification during processing. Project managers plan crew composition based on employment types. Compliance teams audit workforce mix quickly. Finance managers track labor costs by employment classification.

  • Speeds up finding specific workers in large crews
  • Makes batch processing more organized
  • Reduces time spent searching for individuals

  • Shows which rules and clauses were applied
  • Provides timestamps and audit information

Why it matters for construction teams

For site teams: Soft-delete means you can fix mistakes without panic or losing data. When you accidentally delete a timesheet, just restore it—no re-entry, no lost hours. The improved timesheet chooser and clearer hours display make it faster to submit accurate timesheets. Employment type visibility helps supervisors assign the right workers to the right tasks for compliance.

For payroll administrators: Individual payroll runs let you fix urgent issues without re-processing everyone—saving hours on corrections. AI pay explanations and rate detail modals eliminate the constant "why is my pay this amount?" questions. Soft-delete with full history gives you confidence to clean up data without fear of permanent loss. The improved timesheet chooser and sorting reduce processing time every pay cycle.

For project managers: Form templates let you launch new projects with standardized forms already configured—no more rebuilding safety checklists or inspection forms from scratch. Employment type visibility helps you plan crew composition for compliance. Rate transparency from timesheets helps you understand actual labor costs as work happens, not after payroll runs.

For the entire team: In-app release notes keep everyone informed about new capabilities without needing to check emails or external sources. When new features drop, you'll know immediately and understand how to use them. The cleaner interface and improved workflows mean less training needed when new team members join.

Real-world impact:

  • Time saved: Individual payroll runs reduce correction time from hours to minutes
  • Fewer disputes: AI explanations reduce payroll questions by making calculations transparent
  • Faster setup: Form templates cut new project setup time by 70%
  • Less risk: Soft-delete eliminates fear of permanent data loss
  • Better decisions: Real-time rate visibility from timesheets improves cost tracking
